Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by a representative from the safari company who will transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax and settle in, or explore the city if you have time.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Tarangire National Park, which is about two hours away from Arusha. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, as well as its baobab trees and stunning scenery. You’ll enjoy a game drive in the afternoon before retiring to your lodge for the night.
Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you’ll leave Tarangire and head to Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions and large flamingo populations. You’ll have a game drive in the afternoon before heading back to your accommodation for dinner.
Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
On day 4, you’ll leave Lake Manyara and head to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. You’ll have a game drive on the way to the park, and then spend the afternoon exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. You’ll stay overnight in the park.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
On day 5, you’ll spend a full day exploring the Serengeti. This park is home to the largest mammal migration in the world, as millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of food and water. You’ll have a chance to see this incredible spectacle up close, as well as to spot lions, cheetahs, and other predators.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is often referred to as the “eighth wonder of the world.” This is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and more. You’ll spend the afternoon exploring the crater before heading back to your lodge for the night.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
On your final day, you’ll leave the Ngorongoro Crater and head back to Arusha. You’ll have some time to explore the city before your flight back home or to your next destination.
