DAUDI PETER - OUR PROFESSIONAL SAFARI GUIDE

Since my early childhood growing up in the Maasai culture, I have been fascinated by the art of guiding. In my community, young boys were expected to tend to cattle while the brave sons stayed with their fathers to learn about the culture, ensuring that the community produced formidable warriors. However, my curiosity pushed me beyond the expected norms. I watched as people drove into the bush to observe animals that were an integral part of my everyday life, and I became curious. I developed a strong desire to lead and show others the beauty of the bush, and this desire never waned despite the challenges I faced.

With no one to guide me on what to do to achieve my dream, I enrolled in Tourism Management and Tour Guide courses. I spent the third year practicing in various national parks and reserves, deepening my knowledge and passion for birds in particular.

I officially began working as a Tour Guide in 2016 in one of Tanzania’s prominent companies, leading groups to different destinations including North, West, East and South Serengeti National Park, Maswa Game Reserve, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park, Ruaha National Parks, and some private reserves.

Through years of experience, I have become an expert in the art of guiding, and I am now dedicated to organizing private safaris in Tanzania. My deep understanding of the bush and the animals, coupled with my professionalism, ensures that your safari is both memorable and enjoyable. I take great pride in making sure that you always have a good time during your stay in Tanzania.

My passion for guiding has been a lifelong journey, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have allowed me to pursue my dreams. Through my work as a guide, I aim to promote environmental conservation and raise awareness about the importance of protecting Tanzania’s natural resources.
